Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. in Brazil is seeking a Senior Buyer – Direct Commodity to secure indirect spend supplies for multiple business groups and to drive cost, quality, and delivery performance.

You will source suppliers, manage RFQ/RFP, convert requisitions to POs, expediting, handle urgent requests, and collaborate with Operations, Planning, Design Engineering, and Finance to optimize procurement.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
• Proactive problem solver with strong planning orientation.
• Ability to respond quickly, decisively, assertively and professionally to changing requirements.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient with SAP or Ariba or Oracle.
• Excellent PC skills including Excel, Word, MS Standard Office.
• Proven record of at least 5 years on managing a diverse portfolio of Indirect Categories at senior buyer position.
• Experience in supply chain management in an electronics manufacturing environment.
• Supporting Procure to Pay process including PO issuance and supplier shipment.
• Experience in a very high growth rate electronic business is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Proactive new supplier sourcing and development for direct materials used in testing boards, fixtures, and stations.
• RFQ/RFP management, cost analysis and price negotiation.
• Convert internal requisitions into formal POs with price validation.
• Delivery confirmation and expediting with suppliers.
• Handle urgent/emergency requests outside normal planning cycle.
• Collaborate with AP, end users and suppliers to resolve invoice or PO variances.
• Manage returns or RMAs for faulty products.
• Assist supplier onboarding and maintain supplier information in system.
• Update lead-time data in system as applicable.
• Partner with Operations, Planning, Commodity Managers, Design Engineering and Finance to meet requirements.
• Evaluate supplier performance via KPIs and conduct business reviews for continuous improvement.
• Ensure all purchasing aligns with corporate policies and internal audits.
• Support global AE manufacturing factories, design and service centers when needed.

Job Summary

The Senior Buyer – Direct Commodity is responsible for procurement of goods and services that ensure continuity of indirect spend supplies enabling Advanced Energy’s various business groups to operate efficiently, support internal requirements, corporate cost objectives, and enables cost effective solutions for indirect spending in local or global regions. Responsible for oversight on performance metrics related to Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

This position will report to Manager, Purchasing.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactive new supplier sourcing and development for direct materials such PCB, heatsink, bobbin, magnetic cores, connectors, cable & wire which are used in testing boards or fixture or testing stations.
• Responsible for RFQ / RFP, cost analysis and price negotiation.
• Transform internal requisitions into formal Purchase Order by accuracy check requisition details and pricing validation.
• Delivery confirmation and expedition with suppliers.
• Support and handle urgent / emergency requests that fall outside of the normal planning cycle.
• Work with account payable team, end users and supplier to resolve supplier invoice or PO variances or discrepancies of delivered goods or services.
• Manage returns or RMAs for faulty products.
• Assist new supplier onboard process or maintain accurate supplier information in system.
• Update correct lead-time of goods in system (if applicable).
• Partner with internal stakeholders but not limited to Operations, planning, Commodity Managers, design engineering and Finance to understand their requirements and provide procurement expertise.
• Work with Commodity Management or Sourcing Teams to evaluate supplier performance through defined KPI and conduct regular business reviews to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure all purchasing activities align with corporate policies and internal audit requirements.
• Support / responsible for global AE manufacturing factories, design and global service centers if necessary.
