This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Development Coordinator based in Brazil.

As a Software Development Coordinator, you will lead multiple engineering squads, ensuring high-performing teams, predictable delivery, and continuous technical evolution. You will play a key role in developing people, strengthening engineering practices, and aligning technology initiatives with broader business objectives. Working closely with Backend, Frontend, and Mobile teams, you will contribute to architectural discussions, software quality, and technical decision-making. You will also champion the adoption of Artificial Intelligence in software development, introducing new tools and workflows that improve productivity, quality, and delivery speed. In partnership with Product and other stakeholders, you will monitor engineering performance, manage priorities, and address operational challenges. This is an exciting opportunity to combine technical leadership, people management, and innovation in a collaborative, AI-driven SaaS environment.

Accountabilities:

• Lead multiple software development squads, supporting team members' professional growth through regular one-on-one meetings, constructive feedback, and Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and challenging people-related situations.
• Ensure team health, delivery predictability, and operational efficiency by monitoring engineering metrics such as lead time, cycle time, change failure rate, and incidents.
• Oversee engineering-related costs, including tools, resources, and headcount, working closely with Product leadership to balance priorities and investments.
• Collaborate closely with Backend, Frontend, and Mobile teams, participating in discussions about software architecture, code quality, technical debt, and engineering best practices.
• Partner with technical leaders to ensure architectural decisions and technical initiatives remain aligned with business objectives.
• Drive the continuous adoption and improvement of AI-powered software development practices by introducing new tools, techniques, agents, and workflows.
• Encourage teams to experiment with emerging AI technologies and implement approaches that deliver measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and development speed.
• Foster a culture of quality, accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement across engineering teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve development processes, team collaboration, and operating models, implementing effective changes where needed.
• Act as the primary point of alignment with stakeholders, communicating team results, delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and priorities.

Requirements:

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience leading technology and software engineering teams, ideally managing multiple squads simultaneously.
• Strong technical background and the ability to participate in discussions about software architecture, engineering quality, and technical trade-offs without necessarily serving as the team's primary technical expert.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including Backend, Frontend, and Mobile developers.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern software development practices.
• Strong people management and leadership skills, including experience with performance management, feedback, professional development, and team engagement.
• Ability to monitor engineering performance indicators and use metrics to improve delivery predictability and operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align technical teams and business priorities.
• Proactive mindset and commitment to continuous learning, particularly regarding Artificial Intelligence applied to software engineering.
• Up-to-date knowledge of the AI engineering ecosystem, including AI agents, emerging development tools, and automated workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to introduce new AI technologies and translate experimentation into practical improvements in software development processes.
