Job summary

Ming Yang Smart Energy Group seeks an experienced O&M leader to oversee wind project operations in Brazil, ensuring safety, reliability, availability, and performance aligned with customer needs. You will lead service delivery, maintenance strategies, and root-cause analysis.

In this role you will manage the Brazil O&M organization, coordinate with headquarters, and drive continuous improvement in turbine availability and service quality. Travel to wind sites across Latin America is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in wind energy with substantial O&M experience
• Proven experience in leading O&M organizations and multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong knowledge of wind turbine systems, SCADA, fault diagnosis and maintenance strategies
• Experience in customer management, contract/service delivery, and coordinating with HQ or international teams
• Understanding of the Brazilian wind energy market, regulations, and HSE requirements
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Fluent Portuguese and good English communication
• Willingness to travel to wind farm sites across Latin America

• Lead the development of O&M strategies, service models, and technical solutions based on project requirements, customer needs, and local market conditions.
• Establish and continuously improve the O&M management system, including maintenance standards, processes, performance management, and risk control.
• Lead the resolution of major technical and operational issues, coordinate internal and external resources, and drive root-cause analysis and long-term corrective actions.
• Manage and develop the Brazil O&M organization, including team structure, workforce planning, talent development, performance management, and resource allocation.
• Take responsibility for key O&M KPIs, including turbine availability, downtime, service quality, cost, and customer satisfaction, and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead communication and negotiation with customers and key stakeholders on O&M performance, technical solutions, service scope, and major operational issues.
• Work closely with headquarters and regional technical teams to integrate global resources and local capabilities, and ensure effective implementation of technical and operational solutions in Brazil.
• Identify opportunities for O&M business development, service expansion, and localization of O&M capabilities in the Brazilian market.
• Ensure all O&M activities comply with Brazilian regulations, HSE requirements, contractual obligations, and company standards.

II. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or related fields.
• 8+ years of experience in wind energy, with substantial experience in wind turbine O&M and proven experience in O&M management.
• Strong expertise in WTG systems, SCADA, fault diagnosis, maintenance strategies, and O&M solutions.
• Proven experience in managing O&M organizations and leading multi-disciplinary teams in wind projects.
• Experience in customer management, contract/service delivery, and coordination with headquarters or international teams.
• Strong understanding of the Brazilian wind energy market, local regulations, HSE requirements, and O&M practices.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, commercial awareness, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Fluent Portuguese and good English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to wind farm sites across Latin America.
