Job summary

Ideals Recruitment Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned NPI engineer to lead moulded component introductions from initial design through full production release. You will work with design and product development to assess moulding feasibility and optimise manufacturability, conducting DOE and process validations to set optimal parameters.

You will develop detailed manufacturing process specs, work instructions and SOPs, manage tooling, and drive continuous improvements to reduce cycle times and waste

Qualifications

• Min Degree in related field with 5 years in NPI.
• RJG or equivalent moulding certification preferred.
• Experience with design for manufacturability and DOE.

Responsibilities

• Lead the NPI process for moulded components from design to production release.
• Collaborate with design and product development to optimise manufacturability.
• Conduct DOE and process validations to determine moulding parameters.
• Develop manufacturing process specifications, work instructions and SOPs.
• Manage tooling requirements and work with tool makers for timely delivery and quality.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cycle times and waste.
• Perform risk assessments and FMEA to ensure robustness.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with QA, production and supply chain to ensure successful launches.
• Maintain technical documentation and process records for traceability.

• Salary Range: Basic Up to $7000 + AWS + VB

• Working Location: North

• Working Days: Mon - Fri (8.15am - 5.45pm)

Your Role, Your Influence:

• Leading the new product introduction (NPI) process for moulded components from initial design review through to full production release

• Collaborating with design and product development teams to evaluate moulding feasibility and optimise designs for manufacturability

• Conducting design of experiments (DOE) and process validations to establish optimal moulding parameters

• Developing and documenting detailed manufacturing process specifications, work instructions and standard operating procedures

• Managing tooling requirements, including working with tool makers to ensure timely delivery and quality of moulds

• Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce cycle times and minimise material waste

• Conducting risk assessments and failure mode analysis (FMEA) to ensure product and process robustness

• Troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions to maintain quality standards

• Collaborating with quality assurance, production and supply chain teams to ensure successful product launches

• Maintaining comprehensive technical documentation and process records for traceability and continuous improvement

The Ingredients for Success:

• RJG or equivalent scientific moulding certification preferred.
