Job summary

Ideals Recruitment Pte Ltd seeks a senior Tooling Engineer to lead continuous improvement projects in injection moulding, driving OEE, cycle time improvements and mould reliability. You will develop maintenance plans, establish performance metrics and mentor the tooling team.

The role requires 10+ years of tooling experience, supervisory leadership, and strong mould design and reliability engineering knowledge. Based in Marsiling with a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Toolmaking, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years tooling experience in injection moulding or precision manufacturing.
• Prior supervisory/team leadership experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead tooling continuous improvement projects to improve OEE, cycle time, scrap reduction and mould reliability.
• Develop tooling improvement, maintenance and reliability plans.
• Establish tooling performance metrics and drive cost-saving initiatives.
• Lead complex tooling investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance on tooling modifications, mould design and maintenance practices.
• Improve preventive/predictive maintenance programmes and reduce tooling-related downtime.
• Support NPI, DFM, mould design reviews, acceptance and qualification activities.
• Develop and standardise tooling procedures, maintenance practices and engineering best practices.
• Lead, coach and mentor the Continuous Improvement/Tooling team.
• Manage team workload, resource allocation and capability development.

Salary Package: Basic $4500 - $6000

Working Location: Marsiling

Working Hours: 5day work (8.15am-5.45pm)

Key responsibilities:

• Strong knowledge of mould design, tooling maintenance and reliability engineering.
• Experience in medical, electronics or high-volume manufacturing is preferred.
