John Deere is seeking a Mid-level Data Scientist focused on SAP MM Procurement to shape intelligent procurement solutions. Based in Indaiatuba, you will blend software engineering, AI, ML, data, and SAP technologies to scale business value globally.

You will design AI features, integrate them into SAP MM, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address real procurement challenges while advancing MLOps, data quality, and governance practices.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (CS/SE/DS/IS).
• Advanced English proficiency for global collaboration.
• Hybrid work model with on-site presence in Indaiatuba, SP, three days per week.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop AI and ML capabilities for global Procurement solutions.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing SAP MM applications and create AI-powered experiences.
• Work with data, APIs, enterprise systems, and cloud technologies to transform problems into scalable solutions.
• Explore Generative AI, LLMs, and RAG-based solutions for procurement challenges.
• Contribute to architecture and evolution of AI-first procurement software.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and business partners to translate problems into technology solutions.
• Help establish modern engineering, AI development, MLOps, data quality, and governance practices.
• Experiment, learn fast, and help define the future of Procurement software.

About The Role

As a Data Scientist - Focus on SAP MM Procurement based at John Deere Regional Office in Indaiatuba you will you will help shape the future of Procurement by developing intelligent solutions that combine Software Engineering, AI, Machine Learning, Data, and SAP technologies to support global operations and deliver business value at scale.

• Design and develop AI and Machine Learning capabilities for global Procurement solutions.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing SAP MM applications and help create new AI-powered experiences.
• Work with data, APIs, enterprise systems, and cloud technologies to transform business problems into scalable solutions.
• Explore and implement Generative AI, LLM, and RAG-based solutions for real Procurement challenges.
• Contribute to the architecture and evolution of applications in an increasingly AI-first software landscape.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and business partners to understand customer problems and translate them into technology solutions.
• Help establish modern engineering, AI development, MLOps, data quality, and governance practices.
• Experiment, learn fast, challenge traditional approaches, and help us define what the future of Procurement software could look like.

What Skills You Need

Bachelor's degree or equivalent higher education qualification completed in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively in a global environment.

Availability to work in a hybrid model, with on-site presence in Indaiatuba, SP, three times per week.

• Experience with Python, SQL, Statistics & Probability, and Machine Learning.
• Knowledge of Data Engineering fundamentals, Databricks/Apache Spark, and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and API integrations.
• Familiarity with MLOps, Data Visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau), Data Governance, Data Quality, Git, and GitHub.

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience with Multi-Agent Systems, AI Solution Architecture, or Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Knowledge of Vector Databases such as OpenSearch, Pinecone, or Azure AI Search.
• Experience with Deep Learning, Containerization, and Software Architecture & Design Patterns.
• Understanding of Responsible AI, AI Governance, and the development of scalable AI-powered enterprise solutions.
