Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Lead Python AI Solution Engineer to build production AI and LLM solutions, shape architecture, and deliver reliable, scalable systems.

You will lead Python-based RAG and agent work, integrate APIs, and partner with client leadership to steer decisions and delivery. You will design and deliver production-ready AI and LLM applications in Python, develop RAG pipelines and AI agent architectures, and deploy AI systems across cloud environments while ensuring secure,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including production AI/LLM development.
• Strong proficiency with Python 3.11/3.12+ as primary language.
• Deep experience with LLM apps and agent frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Pydantic).
• Knowledge of Hugging Face Models/Datasets, sentence-transformers, tokenizers.
• Hands-on with Python tooling (uv, venv, Poetry).
• Solid code quality and tools (Ruff, Pytest, Jupyter).
• ML libraries such as NumPy, pandas/Polars, scikit-learn.
• Deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow/Keras).
• Experience with vector search/RAG infra (FAISS, Qdrant, Chroma, Weaviate, Milvus, pgvector).
• Experience building AI APIs and deployment components with FastAPI, Pydantic, Uvicorn.
• Containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Data infra (PostgreSQL, Redis, Apache Kafka).
• English proficiency at B2+.
