About This Opportunity

The IT Project Manager II is responsible for providing project planning and management activities for new and established initiatives for InComm Payments. IT Project Managers will typically work with and across multiple teams and technical disciplines to ensure that project requirements are completed to specifications, within the established time frame and on‑budget. IT Project Managers will submit project deliverables and actively engage teams to alleviate roadblocks and improve delivery processes. In this role, the IT Project Manager II works under general supervision of either a manager or a program manager and oversees multiple projects or one large project over the entire project lifecycle (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, Closure). The ideal candidate can manage moderately complex issues and problems, and is responsible for defining and controlling project scope, risks, issues and objectives. They will assemble the project team, assign individual responsibilities, identify appropriate resources needed, and develop the schedule to ensure timely completion of the project.

Responsibilities
  • Manages medium‑to‑large scale standard and custom projects.
  • Plays a leading role in collaboration across multiple business and technical teams to plan and execute project goals.
  • Drives planning activities of the project and creates a project schedule using MS Project.
  • Sets direction for all resources at a project level.
  • Supervises and drives project tasks to successful completion.
  • Demonstrates understanding of project objectives and deliverables by participating in project discussions and decision‑making meetings.
  • Identifies and secures project resources; coordinates their activities with the aim of achieving project goals.
  • Responsible for the flow of project information from the Project Sponsor to the team.
  • Facilitates and drives discussions that help define rules that will govern the execution of the project.
  • Creates and maintains all project management documentation including but not limited to: project weekly status report, action item log, risk and issue log, meeting minutes, communication plan, operational readiness, retrospective and closeout document.
  • Ensures stakeholder satisfaction through proactive escalation of issues with the potential to impact project delivery and providing clear, concise, and consistent communication throughout the project duration.
  • Facilitates effective communication between project team members and stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.
  • Frequently monitors project schedules and related tasks execution to ensure the project is tracking to plan. Takes proactive steps to address risks and issues to successful and timely project completion.
  • Modifies project schedules to align with project changes.
  • Utilizes MS Project to manage resource capacity by allocating, reviewing, accepting, and publishing time on a weekly basis.
  • Ensures operational support of application/customer is in place before project closure.
  • Obtains acceptance of project deliverables before closure.
  • Troubleshoots problems that come up during the project implementation phase.
  • Provides peer‑to‑peer coaching and/or mentoring to junior roles on the team.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2‑4 years working in Project Management and/or Business Analysis in a relevant industry (e.g., software development, IT infrastructure, IT operations).
  • Minimum 2‑4 years working in an Agile environment.
  • Minimum 2‑4 years working with PPM software; Microsoft Project, Microsoft Project Server, SharePoint, preferred.
  • Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Teams, Confluence.
  • Experience with different project management methodologies (i.e., Iterative, Agile, Waterfall, etc.) is a plus.
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Experience with leading technology implementations/system integrations. (Systems involving transaction processing, digital, and/or e‑commerce systems is a plus).
  • PMP preferred but not essential.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Project or Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, MIS is a plus or comparable work experience in a related field).
  • PMP, CAPM, CSM, DASM, PSM Certifications are a plus.
  • Substantial technical knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle, to include Waterfall and Agile.
  • Substantial understanding of Change and Release Management processes.
  • Substantial experience with leading technology implementations/system integrations. (Systems involving transaction processing, digital, and/or e‑commerce systems is a plus).
  • Understanding of information security, data encryption, compliance requirements (e.g., PCI, HIPAA) as relating to transaction processing.
  • Basic understanding of networking topologies and impacts on implementation options.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex and technical topics/requirements to Business team members.
  • Ability to influence others to achieve project objectives and build collaborative teams.
  • Ability to learn, retain, and apply complex technical information associated with the project.
  • Demonstrate ability to plan, think and act independently.
  • Self‑Directed, Decisive, Adaptable, Flexible, Highly motivated.
