Job Summary

The IT Delivery Business Analyst (BA) will work closely with IT Delivery leadership and stakeholders in order to provide strategic planning for various project requests and gather, analyze, and document business requirements that will support cross-functional project execution. This position will work in a support role and alongside various individuals of all levels and departments, and must be comfortable in a technical setting, communicating with both business and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and understand the fundamental business needs, process frameworks, and supporting technologies in order to interpret and define business and functional requirements
• Work with IT resources to define functional approaches and high level scopes of work
• Identify and document business risks, impacts, and mitigation options based on requirements
• Effectively define and present project requirements and process flows via various formats – including workflow diagrams, use cases, business requirements documents, process framework documents, verbal presentations, etc.
• Secure business and functional requirements approval from business and technical stakeholders
• Write test cases and coordinate with development/QA teams to ensure business requirements are met
• Coordinate with project managers to meet BA deliverable expectations and schedules
• Provide team members, stakeholders, and project managers with concise and accurate status updates regarding progress and action items
• Schedule, participate in, and lead discovery meetings
• Capture detailed notes/meeting minutes from discovery and review calls
• Manage multiple assignments simultaneously

Requirements

• Minimum 0 – 2 years of business analysis experience
• Bachelor’s degree in MIS/CS, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience
• Strong analytical skills, displaying ability to quickly understand new information and problem solve
• Ability to productively work both independently on assigned tasks and collaborate with a team on larger efforts
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Office tools – such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
• Familiarity with project management methodologies – including Agile and Waterfall – and tools – such as MS Project, Jira, ADO, etc.
• Exposure to IT spaces related to order management systems, data processing tools, or infrastructure services
