About The Role

The IT Operations Manager – Applications oversees IT services and SLAs for ERPs, MES, satellite, and legacy systems across Amcor Flexibles Brazil and Latin America, leading a team of Application Leads, Project Managers, Specialists, Business Analysts, and contractors.

This role functions as a Business Relationship Manager, managing stakeholder engagement, prioritizing demands, and driving innovative solutions through the project portfolio. Responsibilities include daily operations, support, enhancements, and delivering transformational projects within budget.

This position is remote, with monthly travel to the Sao Paulo office required.

Key Job Accountabilities

1. Build relationships with business leaders and address their needs with technological solutions.
2. Make strategic decisions and influence leadership effectively.
3. Lead IT Operations teams to meet requirements and service levels, supporting existing applications and implementing new solutions.
4. Conduct regular managers’ meetings and communicate with IT senior management.
5. Develop team talent, manage development plans, and provide technical leadership.
6. Act as escalation point for critical incidents and internal customer feedback.
7. Maintain effective communication with vendors, peers, and team members for project support.
8. Ensure project plans, operational procedures, and system documentation are in place.
9. Collaborate with IT Infrastructure Teams on system installation, administration, and troubleshooting, adhering to best practices.
10. Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
11. Monitor and report on service quality and KPIs.

Qualifications/Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in technology or equivalent; MBA is a plus.
2. 7+ years in IT management, project management, consulting, or business process reengineering, preferably in manufacturing.
3. Solid SAP experience required.
4. Proven record in process standardization, adopting best practices, and customer satisfaction monitoring.
5. Experience leading diverse teams and managing third-party vendors.
6. ITIL Foundation certification or higher is a plus.
7. PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
