Job Overview

The Inventory Tech I is a well-balanced, skilled operator that feels at home and drives impact wherever they are placed in the warehouse or office setting. This individual works closely in support of Service Desk and other cross-functional teams to be a key success component of the company’s asset lifecycle and high-quality service delivery.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, business acumen and a capacity to dive deep to solve complex problems. Experience partnering with cross-functional business and technical teams is a requirement. The candidate must be a self-starter and be able to execute at both a tactical and strategic level with a strong attention to detail.

• Fulfill requests for IT equipment for new hires, replacements, upgrades and other various types of hardware requests
• Provide IT supply chain support to fellow IT teams
• Request quotes from suppliers and place orders through Coupa
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders
• Assist with onboarding of new suppliers
• Use of inventory management systems to accurately assign, store, and move equipment
• Order and fulfill hardware replenishment tasks for IT staffed locations
• Perform forecasting of needed hardware
• Receive and process equipment from suppliers, employees and various sites
• Package and prepare IT hardware for shipping
• Knowledge of OSHA Compliance
• Utilize shipping software to perform shipments of IT hardware or other materials
• Receive hardware into IT Asset Management systems
• Assign, suspend, and activate mobile lines as requested/needed
• Clean IT Equipment and prepare for reuse
• Process Hardware for Retain Hold or Legal Hold
• Prepare hardware and update software for employee use
• Configure and provides computers for remote locations
• Update Internal Asset Management system of record (ITAM) when deploying asset(s) to a requester
• Handle issues that may affect the laptop provisioning process including but not limited to; submits and follows up on tasks to other IT teams or suppliers for support
• Test equipment to ensure device is functioning properly prior to deploying
• Mobile Carrier Support
• Troubleshoot hardware issues and work with other IT teams to resolve as needed
• Ensure proper lost/stolen device management such as locking, updating ITAM system and replace hardware
• Work with requesters to update assigned devices in ITAM system
• Wipe device user data from previous users
• Send IT hardware to repair vendors

Supply Chain Support Activities

• Responsible for creating purchase requisitions with existing approvedvendors
• Processes ticket-based requests
• Shipment Tracking for inbound and outbound shipments
• Responsible for driving solutions to resolution for vendor related issues and escalating issues as needed to internal management as needed
• Gather data to assess Supply and Demand mechanisms to ensure our stock levels are healthy and order promptly and consistently
• Assist with the creation and management of the hardware catalogSKUsand price lists

Task Management

• Ensure proper movements and updates in Inventory Management System
• Manage individual task backlog
• Manage team task backlog and escalations, when applicable
• Review and report out 30% statistical random sample size of close tasks weekly for quality and timeliness of deliveries
• Monitor and drive task handling quality process across team
• Manage task queue to meet or exceed targets, ensure quick time to fulfillment, and maintain high quality
• Report out trending issues

Service Supervision

• Audits task data to ensure task handling quality and timeliness meets or exceeds expectations
• Observes and reports on service trends across individuals and team as a whole
• Track and report on progress of projects and present metrics, performance, casuals, and improvement strategies

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, operations, logistics and inventory management
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment; ability to re-prioritize on a regular basis in order to remain current with business needs
• Self-motivated; ability to handle multiple responsibilities under limited supervision
• Experience with Coupa or similar BSM
• Professional communication skills
