Position: General Manager – Latin America

The General Manager – Latin America is responsible for leading, planning, developing, and overseeing all commercial activities to meet region revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction goals. The primary responsibility is to develop and lead a team of Regional Sales Managers to achieve revenue targets while selling a premium product line in a complex selling environment. The General Manager will oversee and manage key performance metrics including funnel management, value selling, and long-range planning. Operating within a matrix organization, the General Manager will lead the commercial organization and provide strategic leadership across different functions to ensure organizational success.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Meet or exceed growth plans in Latin America for new and existing business accounts.
  • Oversee the performance of the commercial organization, including coaching, development, and providing ongoing feedback and guidance.
  • Create and execute strategies based on sales data analytics and market insights.
  • Utilize key market dynamics to develop and close sales in hospitals, labs, and health systems.
  • Drive physician demand and adoption of new diagnostic methods.
  • Negotiate contracts with hospitals and health systems.
  • Analyze and diagnose strategic business solutions to meet sales targets.
  • Coordinate with key customers and stakeholders to promote and expand business opportunities.
Training Responsibilities:
  • Complete all assigned training satisfactorily and on time.
  • For managers, ensure associates attend and complete all required trainings.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of experience or Master’s/Doctoral degree with 12+ years of experience.
  • At least 4 years managing people.
  • Expertise in selling premium products, including capital equipment and reagents.
  • Proficiency with CRM applications like Salesforce.
  • Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, and English.
Travel & Other Requirements:
  • Ability to travel 40% of the time.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Experience:

Experience with DBS Growth Tool or similar is a plus.
