Financial Analyst – Insider One
At Insider, as a Financial Analyst, you will be an essential contributor to the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and innovation in our processes.
Responsibilities
- Playing a pivotal role in monthly revenue and commission close procedures, including preparing journal entries, conducting reconciliations, and ensuring compliance.
- Collaborating with multiple departments to gather transaction information, investigate reconciling items, and address discrepancies.
- Managing account balances by reconciling, researching, and resolving discrepancies in accounts payable and receivable.
- Overseeing the invoicing process, including issuing invoices via municipal platforms or NetSuite and understanding taxation—how taxes are calculated based on revenue and the different types of taxes.
- Managing accounts payable, maintaining close relationships with the accounting team, and coordinating payment schedules.
- Handling accounts receivable, including the collection process, issuing formal protests for overdue invoices, and ensuring cash flow consistency.
- Conducting bank reconciliations to validate payments and outstanding balances.
- Developing and implementing financial policies when necessary to support the team and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Hold or is finishing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Management, or a related field.
- Are a fast learner with a proactive, dynamic, and self‑directed approach.
- Have up to 2 years of experience in similar roles or are a new graduate eager to learn.
- Are detail‑oriented and highly organized.
- Have a good understanding of how invoicing works, including processes through platforms like municipal systems or NetSuite.
- Understand taxation concepts, such as revenue‑based tax calculations and tax types.
- Are familiar with SaaS companies (a plus).
- Have experience with accounting software, and advanced Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.
- Possess advanced English proficiency (Spanish is a plus).
- Enjoy working in a multicultural environment and can communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in a fast‑paced, startup environment.
