Job summary

Belo in Brazil is seeking an Accounting Specialist with crypto and regulatory experience to manage the holding company accounting, multi-entity consolidation, and tax strategy across Latin America. The role collaborates with external advisors and drives automation while ensuring Brazil regulatory compliance.

The position supports forecasting and cross-functional initiatives, working with Finance, Compliance, Legal, and Operations to elevate accounting quality and execution.

Qualifications

• Degree (or advanced student) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related fields.
• Solid experience in financial accounting within multi-entity or holding structures.
• Hands-on experience with accounting and tax regulations in Brazil, including crypto.
• Experience in crypto or fintech industries.
• Based in São Paulo, Brazil; fluent in Spanish and English.
• Startup or fast-paced environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the accounting process and strategy for the holding company.
• Partner with external accounting and tax advisors across the countries where we operate.
• Consolidate multi-entity, multi-country financial statements, accurate and scalable.
• Lead and coordinate external audits for the holding company.
• Design and execute the tax strategy while ensuring proper accounting and tax treatment.
• Keep accounting and tax matters aligned with local and international requirements.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement of accounting and tax processes.
• Be part of Forecast & Planning (F&P) with Finance and drive improvements.
• Work cross-functionally with Finance, Compliance, Legal, and Operations.
• Raise the bar for the holding’s accounting and set high standards for quality.

To support our growth in Brazil, we’re looking for an Accounting Specialist with experience in accounting, crypto, and local regulatory requirements to help ensure our operations meet Brazilian accounting and regulatory standards.

What You'll Do

• Own the accounting process and strategy for the holding company.

• Partner with external accounting and tax advisors across the countries where we operate.

• Consolidate multi-entity, multi-country financial statements, keeping them accurate, consistent, and scalable.

• Lead and coordinate external audits for the holding company.

• Design and execute the tax strategy, supporting business growth while ensuring proper accounting and tax treatment.

• Keep accounting and tax matters aligned with local and international requirements, supporting the team as new rules come into play.

• Drive automation and continuous improvement of accounting and tax processes across the holding.

• Be an active part of Forecast & Planning (F&P), working closely with Finance and driving improvements.

• Work cross-functionally with Finance, Compliance, Legal, and Operations, leading the accounting perspective and optimizing existing processes.

• Raise the bar for the holding’s accounting, setting high standards for quality and execution.

What We're Looking For

Must Have

• Degree (or advanced student) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.

• Solid experience in financial accounting within multi-entity or holding structures.

• Hands-on experience with accounting and tax regulations in Brazil, and familiarity with the country's regulatory framework applicable to crypto.

• Experience working in the crypto or fintech industry.

• Based in São Paulo, Brazil.

• Fluent Spanish and English.

• Background in startups or fast‑paced environments.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a proactive, flexible mindset.

• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating across teams.

• Clear communication and strong organizational skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in holding company accounting.

• Familiarity with G Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc.).

• Knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar tools.

• A strong mindset for continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
