Descrição da oferta de emprego

JOB PURPOSE: Performs a wide range of duties related to accounting and monitoring of the company’s performance. Participates in decision-making in a fast-paced business environment. These functions require accuracy, a sense of urgency, concise and timely communication, independent judgment, strong organizational skills, and analytical skills. This person will understand, consolidate, and analyze multiple components to produce accurate monthly reporting and budgeting for the business.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  1. Assist in developing and implementing systems, procedures, and goals related to accounting functions for Christian Dior Couture.
  2. Lead internal control and compliance campaigns in cooperation with the regional Internal Control Manager.
  3. Review accounts accurately and efficiently for Brazil.
  4. Maintain the accuracy of fixed assets (value, booking, flows, reconciliation) and their depreciation.
  5. Manage all tax topics, including tax returns, sales & other taxes, and audits at the state and federal levels.
  6. Collaborate with external advisors on transfer price reporting.
  7. Prepare the reporting package (P&L) during each month and quarter-end close (balance sheet, P&L).
  8. Supervise accounting and fiscal duties with the accounting service provider.
  9. Conduct monthly reviews of the P&L and balance sheet accounts.
  10. Supervise bank activities, including payments, monthly reconciliations, annual intercompany loan renewal, and cash forecasting.
  11. Challenge costs and allocations with other departments.
  12. Analyze trends in key performance indicators and investigate causes of variances across revenue, costs, expenses, and capital expenditures.
  13. Monitor yearly and monthly targets proactively in collaboration with Brand Executives.
  14. Construct and monitor budgets and forecasts.
  15. Participate in monthly closing and analysis processes.
  16. Report financial information to HQ and management in a timely manner.
  17. Validate local income statements and balance sheets.
  18. Identify and analyze financial risks.
  19. Provide management with regular updates on key local topics.
  20. Perform ad-hoc financial analyses related to current business or new projects.
  21. Work cross-functionally with finance teams in Mexico, the US, and other departments.
  22. Skills and Competencies:

  • 7+ years of accounting/FP&A experience.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a complex, dynamic environment.
  • Initiative-taking and ability to work independently.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information.
  • High accuracy, detail orientation, and data reporting precision.
  • Understanding of the retail industry and product lifecycle is a plus.
  • Ability to work accurately under time constraints.
  • Clear and concise communication skills.
  • Effective communication via phone and in person.
  • Dependable, timely, and precise.
  • Ability to manage a local finance team of two.
  • Proficiency in Excel and good command of English.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and team orientation.
