Job summary

Transaction Network Services (TNS) is seeking a Sr Network Engineer to lead cross-functional teams within Global Network Infrastructure Engineering. You will plan, design, and guide the deployment of large-scale IP backbone and MPLS networks and deliver Ethernet services.

You should have 10+ years in multi-protocol networks, deep knowledge of BGP/ISIS/OSPF, and hands-on Cisco/Juniper experience. This role offers technical leadership and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of design and operations in large scale IP/ISP networks.
• 5+ years expert in TCP/IP and routing protocols (BGP/ISIS/OSPF/PIM).
• 3+ years MPLS networks: TE, VPNs, VPLS, IPSec, QOS/COS.
• 5+ years expert in layer-2 Ethernet technologies.
• 3+ years Data Center design/operation knowledge.
• Expertise with Cisco and/or Juniper networks and hands-on config.
• Experience with SolarWinds and SPLUNK for monitoring and analysis.
• IP Multicast exposure; Service Provider gear like Juniper/Cisco

Responsibilities

• Assess vendors/hardware and provide budget-aligned specs.
• Provide technical leadership and end-to-end process ownership.

Overview

TNS has an excellent opportunity for a Sr Network Engineer! This role reports in to our Global Network Infrastructure Engineering Department and you will be responsible for providing leadership to a system-wide/cross functional team. Planning integration and implementation of new technology and guiding/contributing to the direction of multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Data Center design and support
• Load Balancer design and support

Qualifications

• 10+ years of design and operations experience in large scale multiprotocol global IP/ISP networks
• 5+ years of experience and expert in TCP/IP and routing protocols (RSVP, LDP, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, PIM, BFD, and FRst Reroute technologies)
• 3+ years of experience with architecture and provisioning of MPLS networks and services including Traffic Engineering, Carrier Ethernet, MPLS L2 and L3 VPNs, VPLS, Circuit Emulation, IPSec, VPNs, IP Multicast, and QOS/COS
• 5+ years of experience and expert in layer-2 Ethernet technologies
• 3+ years working knowledge of Data Center design and operation
• Expertise in current industry WAN technologies/products (SONET, SDH, TDM, Metro Ethernet, etc.)
• 5+ years of extensive hands-on experience with the configuration, debugging, and problem resolution of complex Cisco and/or Juniper based networks
• Experienced with command-line interFRces, and skilled in effective use of various network monitoring and analysis tools such as SolarWinds, SPLUNK, and similar tools
