Job summary

EA Recruitment Pte Ltd in Woodlands seeks a Project Analysis and Design Engineer for industrial automation. You will analyze requirements, design and test electrical control systems for robotic equipment, and contribute to accurate documentation.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering and 2-4 years of experience with PLC programming (Beckhoff preferred). On-site installation and commissioning support is provided, along with a variable bonus and welfare benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in designing and developing electrical control systems for industrial automation.
• Proficiency in programming PLCs, with preference given to experience with Beckhoff PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project requirements for industrial robotic equipment/machines.
• Design, develop, and test electrical control systems for industrial automation.
• Create detailed electrical schematic drawings using E3 (or ePLAN as a second option).
• Source and select control components based on project specifications and coordinate with suppliers.
• Execute control system setup, including IO configuration, servo and axis tuning, and integration checks.
• Provide on-site technical support during installation and commissioning; troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and ensure compliance with TCf standards.

Job Scope

Project Analysis and Design:

• Analyze project requirements for industrial robotic equipment/machines.
• Design, develop, and test electrical control systems for industrial automation.

Electrical Schematic Drawings:

• Create detailed electrical schematic drawings using E3 (or ePLAN as a second option).
• Ensure accuracy and completeness in documentation.

Component Selection and Procurement:

• Source and select control components based on project specifications.
• Place orders for control components and coordinate with suppliers.

Control System Setup:

• Execute control system setup, including IO system configuration, servo and step drive setup, and axis tuning.
• Ensure the proper functioning and integration of control components.

Technical Support:

• Provide on-site technical support during the installation and commissioning of robotic equipment/machines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and control system issues.

Documentation:

• Maintain detailed documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Emphasize compliance with Technical Construction Files (TCF) standards.
