Responsibilities

Hanover Hill Behavioral Health, located in Bethlehem, PA, opening in late fall 2025, is seeking an experienced Healthcare Recruiter to join our Human Resources team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team while working in a state-of-the-art facility, including EPIC.

Hanover Hill Behavioral Health combines two leaders in health care, in the partnership of Universal Health Services & Lehigh Valley Health Network. This 144-bed free standing behavioral health facility will offer the community high-quality behavioral health care services for seniors, adults and adolescents.

The Recruiter is responsible for planning and organizing recruitment, selection, and strategies for the hospital. This position will serve as a vital member of the HR Department and maintain a proactive recruitment process aligned with the hospital’s strategic vision. The recruiter will also contribute to marketing efforts to meet the needs of various hospital departments, participate in community events, job fairs, and career expos to increase application volume.

Job Duties
  1. Collaborate with Sr. Leadership and Department Leaders to develop new recruitment strategies for open positions.
  2. Maintain relationships with local and non-local technical colleges, universities, and other accredited institutions for workforce development.
  3. Attend and participate in hiring events, job fairs, and career expos to attract candidates.
  4. Post jobs on the company website and external job boards, ensuring compliance with posting standards and sourcing additional options as needed.
  5. Pre-screen applicants, source the best candidates, and present them to leaders.
  6. Manage the recruitment process, onboarding, and hire status updates for new hires.
  7. Participate in facility-wide surveys to ensure HR compliance.
  8. Conduct reference checks, schedule drug testing, onboarding appointments, and prepare/deliver offers to candidates.
  9. Manage requisitions and approval processes in iCIMS.
  10. Propose new ideas or events to increase application volume.
  11. Maintain and update job descriptions, assisting department leaders as needed.
  12. Complete exit interviews for resigning staff.
  13. Process personnel action forms and communicate employee changes.
  14. Engage with employees to understand concerns and provide guidance and resources.
  15. Assist hiring managers with employee corrective actions to ensure policy adherence.
  16. Handle recruitment-related costs and update vacancy reports regularly, suggesting improvements.
  17. Support planning and execution of hospital events.
  18. Coordinate with local marketing teams and vendors for recruitment needs.
  19. Stay informed about personnel policies and procedures.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years management experience; 5 years healthcare experience preferred.
  • PHR, SPHR, or GPHR certification preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, understanding of employment laws, and experience with HR systems.
  • Knowledge of TJC standards is a plus.
