The Role

The Director, Area Sales is responsible for meeting revenue and growth goals within the assigned region in the energy team. This position directly manages a team of Sales Account Managers, reports to the VP, Regional Sales (LATAM), and will be located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Your Impact
  • Drive growth with urgency and meet/exceed assigned regional sales targets.
  • Partner with the field team to develop and implement regional sales and go-to-market strategies that expand the company’s total addressable market, generate increased usage and product adoption, and achieve aggressive growth objectives in license annual spend, while meeting or exceeding annual budgetary goals.
  • Build a strong and motivated leadership team capable of executing a unified customer engagement model focused on establishing sustainable C-suite relationships.
  • Lead internal and external sales functions, monitor key sales pipeline and performance indicators to ensure financial goals are met.
  • Lead complex sales negotiations and participate in sales presentations to close key deals.
  • Hire, supervise, develop, and mentor a world-class sales team. Foster a positive, results-oriented culture by leading by example.
What You'll Need

The company seeks an experienced enterprise software sales leader with a proven track record of leading high-growth sales organizations, especially in enterprise applications or systems technology firms. The candidate should have experience transforming sales organizations and selling enterprise solutions at the senior executive level. The ideal candidate will build value for the company and its customers over short, medium, and long-term periods.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Geoscience degree, Master’s/MBA a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the oil and gas market.
  • Familiarity with Geoscience modeling software products and services; process modeling software experience preferred.
  • Strong executive presence with consultative and relationship-building sales skills.
  • Proven success in direct sales roles.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage sales professionals.
  • Willingness to travel within Latin America and other regions as required.
