Job summary

Sibelco in Analândia, Brazil, invites a seasoned Director of Operations to lead the cluster's plants, align with global standards, and own the cluster P&L. You will partner across functions to drive safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

With a Bachelor’s in Engineering and proven leadership in mining or industrial operations, you will steer organizational design, develop talent, and enable growth initiatives while traveling as needed to deliver strategic results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mining, Production, Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical or related).
• Strong leadership experience in industrial or mining operations, ideally in multinationals.
• Proven experience managing P&L, operational KPIs, HSE performance and cost efficiency.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Travel availability and a safety-first mindset are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead all operational activities across the cluster, ensuring compliance with global HSE, quality and sustainability standards.
• Act as co-owner of the cluster P&L, delivering financial and operational results aligned with the strategic plan.
• Implement operational and growth initiatives, promoting continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Define organizational structure and staffing needs for Operations and Business Services Teams (Finance, HR, Procurement).
• Develop people capabilities, succession planning and career progression within the cluster.
• Partner with Business Services to ensure effective execution of shared processes.
• Co-lead the Cluster Performance Triangle Meetings with the Cluster Commercial Director.
• Provide strategic mining support to the VP SAM, contributing to mining economics assessments and decisions on mine development.
