Job summary

Sibelco is seeking a Director of Operations for the Analândia cluster in Brazil to lead all plant operations and drive the region’s growth strategy in line with global standards.

The role co-owns the cluster P&L, delivering safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency while building capabilities and staffing across Operations and Business Services teams. Travel is required; fluency in English is mandatory. Collaborative leadership in a multinational environment is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (Mining, Production, Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical).
• Proven leadership experience in industrial or mining operations.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.

• Lead all operational activities across the cluster, ensuring compliance with global HSE, quality and sustainability standards.
• Act as co-owner of the cluster P&L, delivering financial and operational results aligned with the strategic plan.
• Define organizational structure and staffing needs for Operations and Business Services Teams (Finance, HR, Procurement).
• Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence and cost efficiency across the cluster.

Together, we can shape the future.Job Description:Your Impact in This RoleAs part of the Operations Team you will be , responsible for leading the overall operations of the cluster’s plants and ensuring the implementation of Sibelco’s operational and growth strategy in the region.This role is co-owner of the cluster P&L, driving safety, quality, productivity, cost efficiency, sustainability and performance in line with global standards.In the role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Lead all operational activities across the cluster, ensuring compliance with global HSE, quality and sustainability standards.Act as co-owner of the cluster P&L, delivering financial and operational results aligned with the strategic plan.Implement operational and growth initiatives, promoting continuous improvement and operational excellence.Define organizational structure and staffing needs for Operations and Business Services Teams (Finance, HR, Procurement).Develop people capabilities, succession planning and career progression within the cluster.Partner with Business Services to ensure effective execution of shared processes.Co-lead the Cluster Performance Triangle Meetings with the Cluster Commercial Director.Provide strategic mining support to the VP SAM, contributing to mining economics assessments and decisions on mine development.What you bring to the table:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mining, Production, Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, or related fields).Strong leadership experience in industrial or mining operations, preferably within multinational companies.Proven experience managing P&L, operational KPIs, HSE performance and cost efficiency.Fluency in English (mandatory).Strong leadership, decision-making and communication skills.Ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural and matrix-based environment.Availability for travel.Genuine commitment to Safety as a non-negotiable value.Leadership grounded in respect, integrity and accountability.Ownership mindset and drive for excellence.Ability to navigate complexity, inspire teams and foster collaboration.Employee Type:PermanentWhy Join Us?Sibelco is more than a workplace—it’s a community that encourages growth, innovation, and collaboration.
