Job Description

This role involves planning and managing the hotel's overall sales to achieve optimal occupancy, revenue, and profit objectives, in collaboration with the DOSM.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Business Performance
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans, budgets, forecasts, and reports.
  • Analyze reports to identify deviations from goals.
  • Collaborate with Finance on budgeting and forecasts.
  • Participate in management meetings to review progress and plan for the department.
  • Sales & Distribution
    • Conduct daily briefings on key activities.
    • Manage sales activities for groups, transients, and catering/banquets.
    • Analyze market trends, competition, and customer feedback to adapt strategies.
    • Manage advertising, PR, and promotional activities with marketing.
    • Participate in sales presentations and customer meetings.
    • Evaluate guest needs and competitive set to recommend operational changes.
    • Engage with community and professional organizations for visibility.
  • Team Management
    • Identify and develop team talent.
    • Conduct performance reviews and address issues.
    • Monitor team performance, attitude, and professionalism.
    • Work with Talent & Culture for hiring, training, and development.

    Qualifications

    Knowledge and Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable hospitality school.
    • At least 5 years of sales management experience or 2 years in a similar role with proven results.
    • Strong professionalism, understanding of global markets, and business acumen.
    • Excellent English language skills (reading, writing, speaking).
    • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
