Primary Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Actively seek out and engage prospective customers through cold calling, networking, and social media.
  • Drive new business in Gambling and Low-Risk (e-commerce & marketplace), identifying and closing strategic partnerships, especially with cross-border merchants expanding into Brazil.
  • Close sales deals and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Manage and grow existing accounts, ensuring increased transaction volumes, merchant retention, and optimized payment flows until volume justifies a dedicated AM resource.

Product Knowledge:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the company’s products or services.
  • Communicate the value propositions of products to potential customers effectively.

Market Research:

  • Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
  • Capitalize on new import regulations and other opportunities (low risk), positioning AstroPay as a key payments partner for global players, while developing tailored solutions for this segment.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
  • Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve better results.
  • Share feedback from customers and market insights with the sales team and management.

Sales Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.

Core Competencies and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Portugues fluent
  • Proven track record of successful sales leadership and achieving revenue targets globally.
  • Strong understanding of global sales strategies, techniques, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a global perspective.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales operations, preferably in the payments or fintech sector.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions on a global scale.
  • Leadership and team management experience, inspiring and motivating a diverse sales team.
  • Proficiency in sales CRM software and other relevant sales tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships on a global level.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
