An Accountant is needed to join the Finance team to manage general ledger accounting, month-end closings, financial reporting, fixed assets, tax working files, budgeting support and inventory reporting. The role supports the Senai Manufacturing plant from Singapore’s regional office; proficiency in ERP/SAP and Excel is required.

Responsibilities include bank loan processing, intercompany and FX support, GST and audit schedules, budgeting and management reporting, and inventory reconciliation.

Qualificações

• 3-6 years of progressive financial accounting and business controlling exposure.
• Experience with general-ledger and month-end closing and financial statement preparation.
• CPA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent preferred.

About the role: -

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly driven Accountant to join our Finance team to manage general ledger accounting, month-end closings, financial reporting, fixed assets, tax working files, budgeting support and inventory reporting.

The ideal candidate will be proficient with ERP/SAP and Excel, possess strong analytical and reconciliation skills, and have experience supporting audits and statutory reporting.

Responsibilities and role will initially be to support our Senai Manufacturing plant from Singapore’s regional office.

Key responsibilities

• General ledger, loans, Cash
• Post bank loan receipts and record loan repayments.
• Maintain and reconcile loan schedules and related accounting records.
• Perform month-end general-ledger closing and prepare trial balance and financial statements.
• Prepare balance-sheet analysis, journals and general-ledger working papers.
• Update payment listings and SAP document numbers in relevant schedules.
• Perform SAP financial-report rollover.
• Support ONWC reporting.
• Support Cashflow forecast reporting.

• Fixed assets & reconciliations
• Perform month-end closing process for fixed assets.
• Maintain fixed-asset records, supporting schedules and revaluation schedules.
• Prepare fixed-asset reconciliation and related working papers.
• Prepare and review AP and AR ageing reports.

• Intercompany, SGA & foreign exchange support
• Prepare group intercompany file and SGA allocation file.
• Maintain foreign-currency exchange file and support FX accounting and reporting.
• Coordinate with treasury for FX information as required.

• Tax, audit & statutory reporting
• Prepare GST working files and balance-sheet audit schedules.
• Prepare MMA survey working papers and draft annual financial statements at company level.
• Support external auditors and statutory reporting requirements.

• Budgeting & management reporting
• Prepare budget and forecast costing files.
• Prepare forecast and budget management reports per segment-reporting requirements.
• Analyse significant variances and provide explanations to management.
• Support financial planning and management reporting activities.

• Inventory and other topics
• Prepare inventory reports and reconcile inventory with the general ledger and operational records.
• Investigate inventory differences and unusual movements.
• Support regional finance initiatives

Qualifications & skills

• 3-6 years of progressive financial accounting and business controlling exposure.
• Proven experience in general-ledger and financial accounting, month-end closing and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with fixed assets, intercompany accounting, GST and audit schedules.
• Strong proficiency in Excel; hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP).
• Strong analytical, reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Attention to detail, good organisational and communication skills.
• Professional accounting qualification e.g., CPA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent preferred.
