Manufacturing is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the Singapore office's financial operations, including statements, budgets, and forecasts. The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Singapore office, including the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts. This role ensures compliance with financial regulations, analyses financial performance, and collaborates with other departments to drive cost-saving initiatives and strategic planning. The Finance Manager leads Finance as a standalone department, partnering with senior management and operations across the business.
Manage and support the full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger
Oversee product costing, including standard cost setting and cost roll-ups
Analyse key cost drivers such as materials, labour, depreciation, yield, and overhead absorption
Identify cost-reduction opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives
Partner with operations to evaluate make-or-buy decisions and process improvements
Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making
Analyse financial performance and provide insights to optimise profitability and efficiency
Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders
Lead the bi-annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to align financial goals with strategic objectives
Monitor budget vs. actual performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions as needed
Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance preferred
Minimum 5-7 years of working experience in a similar capacity, preferably in the manufacturing industry, with management experience
Able to communicate and liaise with Mandarin-speaking counterparts, including those in China office
Good knowledge of accounting standards
Proficiency in SQL and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership and team-management abilities
