Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Job position: Part-time School Counsellor

Salary: SGD 25–40 per hour.

Name of Authority: Chung Cheng High School (Yishun)

Contract Period: 1 January 2027 to 29 October 2027.

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

Tuesdays to Thursdays: 8:00am to 3:00pm, inclusive of a one-hour lunch break.

Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, gazetted public holidays and protected time during school holidays.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Social Work, Psychology, Youth Work or a related Social Science field.
• At least three years of counselling experience with youths aged 12–18 in a school, residential home or community centre.
• Ability to remain calm and empathetic in stressful situations, build rapport with youths and maintain professional boundaries.
• Patience, compassion, resilience and teamwork skills.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and Outlook.
