Job summary

RCSI Bahrain is seeking a detail-oriented IT professional to support the administration, maintenance, testing, and daily operation of student systems and related digital platforms. You will ensure data security, accuracy, availability, and accessibility within the Academic Systems Team.

You will report to the Academic Systems Manager and collaborate with IT, Academic Operations, and Registry Services to implement system enhancements, run tests, and deliver high-quality reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of IT systems, applications, databases, and user-access management.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and technical support for student systems and other related IT platforms.
• Assist with system maintenance, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues related to user access, data integrity, system functionality, and performance.
• Support the Academic Systems Team with system testing, upgrades, configuration changes, and new system implementations.
• Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions to ensure secure system access.
• Assist in investigating system issues, identifying root causes, and escalating technical problems as required.
• Support data validation and data-quality checks across student systems.
• Assist with system integrations and data flows between relevant platforms when required.
• Generate and deliver scheduled and ad-hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the development of reports, dashboards, and data analysis for academic and business requirements.
• Maintain system documentation, user guides, procedures, and knowledge-base material.
• Support training to new junior staff and end users on relevant systems.
• Respond to system- and IT-related enquiries from staff and students via multiple channels.
• Support user acceptance testing and document test results, issues, and outcomes.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system efficiency and user experience.
