Job summary

Nasser Centre for Science & Technology in Bahrain seeks a qualified Accountant to support financial operations and reporting. You will maintain records, process payables/receivables, reconcile accounts, assist with monthly and year-end closing, and provide analysis for budgets and audits.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, at least two years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and fluent English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure prompt, correct recording of transactions.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, payments, invoices, and supporting documents.
• Perform bank, ledger, and account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities and preparation of financial reports.
• Support budget preparation, expenditure monitoring, and payroll-related entries.
• Maintain organised records and provide documentation for audits.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
• Adhere to statutory requirements and maintain effective internal controls.
