Job summary

Generac Bahrain factory is seeking a Purchasing Officer to support the Supply Chain Supervisor by turning approved purchase requests into purchase orders and tracking them through delivery, supplier payment and PO closure in the ERP system.

You will assist sourcing, onboarding local suppliers, maintain supplier master data, prepare monthly reports, and collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Logistics and Finance to meet business objectives. Fluency in English and Arabic is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field.
• 2–4 years in purchasing in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• ERP purchasing experience.
• Strong Excel and numerical skills.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Receive and validate purchase requests before processing.
• Create and route POs in the ERP and manage approvals.
• Coordinate with suppliers and logistics to ensure on-time delivery.
• Resolve delivery issues and liaise with Finance on invoices.
• Maintain supplier records and support supplier onboarding.
• Prepare monthly purchasing reports and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Assist in onboarding new suppliers and maintaining supplier data.
