Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and codes (ASME/BS EN/ISO).
• Proficiency in plant engineering for layouts and piping drawings.
• Hydraulics & transient analysis using WaterGEMS/WaterHammer/SAP.
• Review hydraulics and transient analysis and stress reports (CAESAR II).
• Participation in workshops (HAZOP) with client and consultant.
• Vendor engineering reviews and technical comparisons for procurement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to mentor and develop team members.
• Design optimization and continuous improvement mindset.
• Preferable: Water & Effluent treatment, Oil & Gas experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers.
• Design development of mechanical components for water treatment projects.
• Plan deliverables, execution, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with other disciplines for integration.
• Review design deliverables and validate outputs.
• Drive continuous improvement in team productivity.
• Piping design with hydraulics modelling, surge & CFD analysis.
• Lead rotating equipment design activities.
• Engage with consultants and clients for approvals and submittals.
• Interface with international vendors for equipment evaluation.
