Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Bahrain seeks a Lead Engineer – Mechanical with Water, Effluent & Sewage treatment plant knowledge to lead a team and drive design for desalination and water projects. The role demands hands-on piping design, hydraulics modelling, CFD analysis, and coordination with consultants for approvals. 12–15 years in mechanical engineering with leadership experience is preferred. International vendor interaction and adherence to codes are essential.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years in Mechanical engineering with 3–5 years in leadership
• Advanced knowledge of ASME/BS EN/ISO/QCS/NWC codes
• Proficiency in plant engineering for layout, GA drawings, piping drawings
• Advanced hydraulics and transient analysis using WaterGEMS/WaterHammer/SAP
• Experience reviewing hydraulics/transient analysis and CAESAR II stress reports
• Participation in workshops (HAZOP) with clients and consultants
• Vendor engineering experience with reviewing offers and post-order documents

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Mechanical Engineers
• Lead design development of Mechanical components in Desalination, Water, Effluent & Sewage projects
• Plan engineering deliverables, execution, resource planning and allocation
• Collaborate with other disciplines for integration of mechanical systems
• Review and validate design deliverables
• Drive continuous improvement in team productivity and skills
• Piping design with hydraulics modelling, surge & CFD analysis
• Hands-on experience in rotating equipment design
