Job summary

Advanced Search in Bahrain is seeking a Lead Manager - Mechanical Design with extensive experience in water, effluent and sewage treatment projects. You will lead a team of mechanical engineers and guide tendering and detail engineering.

You will coordinate with other disciplines to ensure proper integration of mechanical systems, review design deliverables, and drive productivity improvements. The role emphasizes hands-on design for desalination, water transmission, and distribution projects

Qualifications

• Lead engineer with water, effluent and sewage treatment plant knowledge.
• 12–16 years of experience in mechanical design leadership.
• Experience in tendering and detailed engineering stages.
• Proficiency in hydraulics modelling and transient analysis.
• Strong communication and mentoring abilities.
• Experience with international codes such as ASME/BS EN/ISO/QCS/NWC.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of mechanical engineers on projects from concept to detail design.
• Drive design development of mechanical components in desalination and treatment plants.
• Plan engineering deliverables, resources, and scheduling.
• Collaborate with other disciplines for proper integration of mechanical systems.
• Review design deliverables and validate calculations and drawings.

Position Title: - Lead Manager - Mechanical Design Qualifications : - B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering - M.E / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Experience: - Minimum 12 Years to Maximum 16 Years. Job Location: - Bahrain Details of Roles & Responsibilities: Lead Engineer Mechanical with Water, Effluent & Sewage treatment plant knowledge, shall be able to perform the roles and responsibilities as below for tendering as well as detail engineering stage Lead and mentor a team of Mechanical Engineers Lead the design development of Mechanical component in Desalination, Water, Effluent & Sewage treatment projects Planning of engineering deliverables, execution, resource planning and allocation Collaborate with other discipline for proper integration of mechanical system Design deliverable review and validation Lead continuous improvement in team productivity and skill set Piping design with Hydraulics Modelling, Surge & CFD analysis rotating equipments design skill Skills: 3-5 years in leadership role. Advance knowledge of Mechanical engineering principles, best practices and various international codes i.e. ASME / BS EN / ISO / QCS / NWC etc. Proficiency in Plant engineering for preparation of plant layout, GA drawing, Piping layout, Pipeline drawings etc. Advance knowledge of hydraulics & transient analysis through Water GEMS / Water Hammer / SAP software. Handon experience in reviewing the Hydraulics / transient analysis reports, Stress analysis reports (CAESAR II) etc. Participation in various workshops e.g. HAZOP etc. with client and consultant Proficient in Vendor engineering by reviewing vendor offer, technical comparison with recommendation to Procurement team for mechanical equipment and detailed review of post order documents Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Ability to mentor and develop team members Innovative mindset for design optimization and continuous improvement Preferable Industry Experience: Water & Effluent treatment, Oil & Gas industries etc. Candidate should have hands on experience in Water, Effluent & Sewage treatment plant, Transmission & distribution pipeline projects in Middle east and Africa region. Core responsibility shall be to lead a team of mechanical engineers interacting with consultant and client for approval of engineering deliverables and Material submittals. Should have experience in dealing with international vendors for various mechanical equipment evaluation and selection.
