Job summary

Rice & Ribs is seeking an Operations & Business Development Manager to lead daily restaurant operations on-site in Bahrain. You will optimize workflows, ensure top food quality and guest experience, and guide a motivated team while expanding corporate sales and government contracting.

You will manage procurement, cost controls, KPIs, and supplier relations, and develop catering contracts with corporate clients.

Qualifications

• > Minimum 3–5 years of experience in restaurant management or the food & beverage industry.
• > Proven experience in corporate sales or government contract acquisition is highly preferred.
• > Strong experience in procurement, supplier negotiation, and cost management.
• > Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• > Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management, and operational software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain the highest standards of food quality, customer service, and guest experience.
• Lead, train, evaluate, and motivate restaurant staff.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, cost control, and waste reduction.
• Prepare and monitor operational and financial reports, including KPIs.
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
• Handle customer feedback and continuously improve customer satisfaction.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
• Secure catering and supply contracts with corporate clients, private companies, and government entities.
• Build and maintain strong business relationships with key organizations.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best quality at the most competitive prices.
• Continuously evaluate suppliers and optimize purchasing costs without compromising quality.
• Recommend operational improvements and growth initiatives.
