Job summary

Naseem AlAndalos in Bahrain is seeking an assistant fashion designer who sketches by hand to support our design team. This role focuses on hand-drawn design ideas, mood boards, and preparing details for pattern makers.

You must have a diploma or degree in fashion design or equivalent atelier experience, 1–3 years in a fashion house, and strong hand-sketching skills. Knowledge of kaftans, evening wear and couture is preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent hand sketching and fashion illustration skills.
• Good eye for colour, fabric and detail.
• Interest in kaftans, evening wear and couture.

Responsibilities

• Sketch design ideas and technical drawings by hand.
• Research colours, fabrics and trends, and prepare mood boards.
• Source and organise fabrics, trims and embellishments.
• Prepare design details for pattern maker, embroiderers and tailors.
• Attend fittings and follow samples through the atelier.
• Keep design records and collection files organised.
