Job summary

Qureos is seeking an Executive Chef to oversee all culinary operations, menu creation, staff leadership, and high-quality food/service standards in Bahrain. The role demands a strong culinary background, strategic thinking, and exceptional leadership to drive the kitchen from pre-opening to ongoing operations.

The candidate will manage production planning, QA/compliance, and cross-functional collaboration with suppliers and brands.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Executive Chef.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of current industry trends and techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
• Strong understanding of food and labor costs and the ability to manage them effectively.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Opening & Facility Setup: Design layouts, establish workflows, and specify equipment needs.
• Lead supplier trials, ingredient approvals, kitchen testing, and mock runs before launch.
• Culinary Leadership & Product Development: Oversee bakery, pastry, and hot-kitchen standards; document recipes and SOPs.
• Production Planning & Daily Operations: Create daily, weekly, monthly production schedules; optimize capacity.
• Food Safety, QA & Compliance: Implement HACCP-based controls; ensure audits and brand standards.
• Cost Control, Yield & Profitability: Manage recipe costing; monitor yields and waste; collaborate with Finance on budgets.
• Procurement & Inventory Management: Set ingredient specs; manage par levels and cold-chain integrity.
• Team Leadership & Talent Development: Hire, train, and mentor kitchen staff; build cross-training programs.
