Job summary

International Turnkey Systems - ITS is seeking a Credit Risk Analyst for an Islamic Bank in Bahrain. The role focuses on evaluating corporate credit applications, performing in-depth financial and risk analysis, and drafting risk assessments for senior management and credit committees.

The candidate will prepare credit documentation, review proposals for compliance, and coordinate with Corporate Banking and risk teams to ensure timely processing of applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Credit Risk, Corporate Banking, Credit Analysis, Financial Analysis, or a related banking function.
• Experience within the banking or financial services industry is preferred.
• Sound knowledge of corporate banking products, credit policies, procedures, and banking operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessment and analysis of credit applications for both new and existing corporate credit facilities.
• Perform comprehensive financial and credit risk analysis, including evaluation of borrowers' financial performance, business profile, industry dynamics, and repayment capacity.
• Prepare and draft Risk Authorization Reports (RARs) and supporting credit analysis in line with internal policies and credit standards.
• Formulate independent risk assessments and recommendations for Senior Management and Credit Committees, highlighting key risks, mitigants, and proposed credit structures.
• Review credit proposals submitted by Corporate Banking and assess compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and risk appetite.
• Liaise extensively with Corporate Banking and internal Risk Management stakeholders to obtain required information and facilitate timely processing of credit applications.
• Support the preparation of committee submissions, approval memoranda, and other credit-related documentation.
