Bank ABC Group is seeking a Senior Credit Underwriter for our Head Office Credit Department in Bahrain. The role reports to the Group Chief Credit Officer and focuses on maintaining high-quality corporate loan portfolios with strict adherence to risk appetite and policy.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree (MSc/MBA a plus) with 10+ years in international banking, deep knowledge of credit analysis, and strong understanding of lending documentation.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree required; MSc/MBA or professional qualification a plus
• At least 10 years' experience in international banking
• Strong knowledge of accounting, financial statement analysis and credit risk
• Familiarity with bank lending policies and credit documentation

Responsabilidades

• Promote and monitor the bank's quality loan and risk assets within the corporate portfolio
• Evaluate credit risk on new business and periodic reviews; present clear recommendations to credit committees
• Submit credit proposals within required GCC timelines and establish underwriting procedures
• Monitor out-of-order documentation and ensure mitigations are in CAF
• Travel to cover countries for portfolio reviews as required
• Ensure adherence to Group Risk Appetite, Credit Policy and related procedures
• Provide interpretation support of credit policy and procedures
• Conduct regular portfolio reviews and escalate key risk issues
• Contribute to reports on sectors or cross-jurisdictional analyses
• Support CRG transformational projects and ongoing training
