Fujitsu in Brussels is seeking an experienced Freelance Test Engineer (Expert) for a challenging 12-month project with a federal public organization. The role is hybrid in Brussels, with 50% remote (3 days onsite). Start on 14 September 2026.

You will define the test strategy, implement automated testing, and ensure quality across the full software lifecycle in a cloud-native, microservices, Zero Trust environment. Collaboration within Agile Scrum teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Test Engineer (Expert level).
• At least 5 years of experience in Cloud testing (Azure preferred).
• Experience in test automation, TDD, API testing, UI testing (Cypress).
• End-to-End, performance testing (JMeter, Gatling); monitoring/observability (Grafana); CI/CD (Azure DevOps).
• Contract testing, mocking, and service virtualization; Agile delivery teams.
• At least 3 years in Java SE, Python, JavaScript, Bash/PowerShell; unit/regression/integration testing (JUnit, Cucumber); security testing; Maven; NoSQL; version control & code quality tools.

Freelance Test Engineer (Expert) – Brussels (Hybrid)

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Test Engineer (Expert) for a challenging project within a federal public organization based in Brussels.

Project Information

• Start date: 14 September 2026
• Duration: 12 months (extendable)
• Location: Brussels
• Remote: 50% (3 days per week onsite)

About the project

You will join an ambitious digital transformation program focused on building a modern cloud-native platform. You will work alongside experienced software engineers, analysts, and architects to ensure the quality of a complex enterprise solution based on microservices, APIs, and a Zero Trust architecture.

You will be responsible for defining the test strategy, implementing automated testing, and ensuring quality across the full software lifecycle.

• Java SE (Java 10+)
• Python

• Version control, pull requests, and code quality tools
