We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer to join a technology environment in Brussels. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, improving and maintaining clear technical and operational documentation, working closely with IT and business stakeholders.

The role requires strong knowledge of ITIL v4 and the ability to translate complex technical information into structured, user-friendly documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain high-quality technical and operational documentation.
• Document IT services, processes, procedures and workflows.
• Develop documentation aligned with ITIL v4 practices.
• Work closely with technical teams, service managers and other stakeholders to gather information.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Review existing documentation and identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain consistency, accuracy and appropriate version control across documentation.
• Produce materials such as process guides, operational procedures, knowledge articles, user guides and technical manuals.
• Support continuous improvement of internal documentation standards.

Required Experience

• Previous experience as a Technical Writer within an IT or technology environment.
• Strong knowledge and practical understanding of ITIL v4.
• Strong ability to understand and document technical processes.
• Experience working with IT operations, service management or infrastructure teams.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to structure complex information clearly.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Comfortable working within a hybrid environment in Brussels.
• Experience within a large enterprise, consultancy or public-sector environment.
• Experience documenting ITSM processes, including incident, problem, change and service management.
• Knowledge of tools such as ServiceNow, Jira or Confluence.
