E.ON Power Plants Belgium BVBA in Mechelen seeks a Technical Project Manager Energy Generation to lead large-scale on-site energy projects in the DBOO model, coordinating engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover to operations. This role offers a hybrid working model and frequent collaboration with clients, contractors and internal teams.

You bring a Master’s in engineering, senior PM experience in the energy sector, and PM certification is a plus.

Qualificações

• Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Energy Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Senior-level experience in technical project management within energy/power generation/industrial infra.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale energy generation projects (EPC/multi-lot).
• PM certification (PMP, IPMA, PRINCE2) is an advantage.
• Experience with permitting in Belgium/Netherlands is a strong advantage.
• Fluent in Dutch (C2) and English (C1); additional languages a plus.
• Willingness to travel and be on-site as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage delivery of large on-site energy generation projects from planning to start-up.

• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and interfaces with development, commercial, procurement, and legal.
• Manage schedules, budgets, resources, risks and change control processes.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and HSE policies.
• Review and approve technical specifications and contractor docs to handover to Operations & Maintenance.
• Monitor performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Lead project meetings, progress reviews and stakeholder communications.

• Lead and manage the successful delivery of large-scale on-site energy generation projects, including planning, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up
• Act as the primary technical project interface between clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders in DBOO (Design, Build, Own & Operate) projects
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage interfaces with project development, commercial, procurement, and legal functions
• Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and change control processes
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulations, environmental requirements, and HSE policies
• Review and approve technical specifications, engineering deliverables, and contractor documentation through to handover to the team Operations & Maintenance
• Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions where necessary
• Lead project meetings, progress reviews, and stakeholder communications

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Senior-level experience in technical project management within the energy, power generation, or industrial infrastructure sector
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale energy generation projects with strong knowledge in EPC and/or multi-lot project execution
• Project Management certification (PMP, IPMA, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is an advantage
• Experience with permitting processes in Belgium and/or the Netherlands is a strong advantage
• Fluent in Dutch (C2) and English (C1); additional language skills are a plus
• Willingness to travel with on-site presence depending on project phase
