E.ON Power Plants Belgium (BVBA) is hiring an Operations & Maintenance Service Engineer to supervise and maintain on-site power/heat plants, support clients in plant exploitation, and manage maintenance activities. The role requires Dutch and English fluency, project management skills, and willingness to travel across Belgium and the Netherlands.

The position is hybrid with permanent employment in Mechelen.

Qualifications

• Higher technical degree or equivalent with experience in operation and maintenance of technical installations preferably in power generation/utilities
• Project management skills with good knowledge of process technology and automation
• Fluent in Dutch (C2) and business fluent in English (C1)
• Stress resistant and communicative with strong social skills
• Willingness to travel across Belgium and the Netherlands

Responsabilités

• Operation supervision and maintenance of on-site power/heat generation plants
• Guidance, advice and assistance to clients with plant exploitation
• Work clearance management and supervision of maintenance activities with instrumentation & control
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and prioritise safety
• Analyze plant-related issues and implement proper solutions
• Identify optimization measures and negotiate customer/supplier agreements
• Troubleshooting during unplanned downtimes within defined framework
• Participate in on-call service and incident reporting

E.ON Power Plants Belgium BV (EPPB), a subsidiary of E.ON Energy Projects GmbH, develops, builds, finances and operates decentralised energy generation plants for industrial customers in Belgium and the Netherlands. Your Responsibilities

• Operation supervision & maintenance of on-site power/heat generation plants
• Guidance, advice and assistance to our clients with the exploitation of our plants
• Work clearance management and supervision of maintenance activities with knowledge of instrumentation & control
• Ensuring compliance with HSE standards and behaving mindfully and prioritising safety
• Analysis of plant-related issues (defects, incidents, etc.) with implementation of the proper solution
• Identification of optimization measures and negotiation of customer and supplier agreements
• Troubleshooting and implementation of measures during unplanned downtimes, acting independently within the defined operational framework
• Participation in an on-call service and preparation of incident reports

Your Qualifications

• Higher technical degree or similar qualification with experience in the operation and maintenance of technical installations preferably in power generation and utilities
• Project management skills with good knowledge of process technology and automation
• Collaborating with empathy and inclusivity in a multidisciplinary team with interest in process and technical topics
• Fluent in Dutch (C2) and business fluent in English (C1), other language skills are a plus
• Stress resistant and consistently responsive with good communication and social skills
• Dynamic, independent and flexible person with a strong sense of responsibility
• Flexible mobility across Belgium and the Netherlands, typically spending three days on-site and two days in the office
