Expleo Group is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to develop detailed designs for secondary electrical systems and to produce accurate drawings in AutoCAD. The role involves coordinating with project engineers, supporting construction and commissioning activities, and ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.

You will work in a multidisciplinary environment, liaising with clients, contractors and internal teams while maintaining meticulous documentation and quality checks.

Qualifications

• Degree or qualification in a relevant technical discipline, such as Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, Automation, Engineering, or another relevant technical field.
• Very good knowledge of Dutch.
• Willingness to learn the other national language.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and planning skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate with different stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Analyse project notes and technical requirements.
• Adapt existing standard drawings to meet project requirements.
• Develop detailed designs for secondary electrical systems, including protection, automation and control systems.
• Take applicable company standards, norms and design methods into account.
• Ensure designs are integrated into existing substations and installations.
• Create and modify technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Perform quality checks on drawings and documentation.
• Coordinate submission of drawings to internal departments.
• Maintain contact with stakeholders during construction.
• Support resolution of technical issues during construction.
• Collaborate with technicians during commissioning and site support.
• Follow the implementation of the design through to its field application.

Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

• Analyse project notes and technical requirements.
• Adapt existing standard drawings to meet the specific requirements of each project.
• Develop detailed designs for secondary electrical systems, including protection, automation and control systems.
• Take applicable company standards, norms and design methods into account.
• Ensure that designs are correctly integrated into existing substations and installations.
• Create and modify technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Perform quality checks on drawings and technical documentation before release.
• Identify technical issues and work together with the Project Engineer to develop appropriate solutions.
• Coordinate the submission of drawings to the relevant internal departments.

Construction & Implementation

• Maintain close contact with internal and external stakeholders during the construction of electrical cabinets/cubicles.
• Support the resolution of technical issues arising during construction.
• Work closely with contractors to investigate and resolve design or implementation problems.
• Ensure that design-related questions are addressed efficiently during project execution.

Commissioning & Site Support

• Collaborate with technicians during commissioning activities.
• Analyse and resolve secondary-system issues encountered on site.
• Work with the Project Leader and site technicians to identify practical technical solutions.
• Follow the implementation of the design through to its application in the field.

Essential Skills

• Degree or qualification in a relevant technical discipline, such as:

• Very good knowledge of Dutch.

• Experience with substations or electrical infrastructure.
• Experience working with engineering standards and technical specifications.
