Expleo is hiring an electrical design engineer in Charleroi, Belgium, to join our railway systems practice. You will translate electrical principles into onboard installations, build BOMs, draw schematics and write installation specifications in collaboration with mechanical engineers.

The ideal candidate holds a Master degree in Engineering with a focus on electrical design, plus experience with CAD tools (INVENTOR/CATIA) and PLM ENOVIA.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
• Experience in electrical design within an engineering department.

Responsabilités

• Participate in training surveys to define installation principles and descriptive documents for customer approval.
• Transform electrical principles into onboard installation.
• Build BOMs relevant to installation and compliant with train constraints and standards.
• Draw final schematics and generate the wiring list.
• Conceive harnesses respecting railway standards and write production specifications.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to build the Part breakdown List or final installation solution.
• Draw-up installation procedure detailing activities to be performed.

Responsibilities

• Participate in training surveys in order to define installation principles and establish a descriptive document of selected solutions to get customer approval,
• Transform electrical principle schematics into a real onboard installation,
• Build the Bill of Materials relevant to the installation and compliant with train constraints and standards,
• Draw final schematics and generate the associated wiring list,
• Conceive harnesses respecting railway standards and write down specifications for their production,
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to build the Part breakdown List or the final installation solution,
• Draw-up of installation procedure explaining installation activities to be performed.

Qualifications

• -Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word & Excel mainly)
• - Knowledge of railways is an asset.
• - Knowledge of E3S software (or other electrical CAD sofwtare) is an asset.
• - Knowledge of INVENTOR/CATIA is an asset;
• - Knowledge of PLM – ENOVIA is an asset

Essential skills

• Master degree in Engineering school or equivalent / university, specialisation or oriented in electrical design, a preceding experience of design within an engineering department is required.
