Job summary

ALTEN Belgium seeks a System Designer to join our Charleroi teams on client projects. You will define and allocate requirements across subsystems and collaborate with system, architecture, and software teams to deliver safe, efficient solutions.

You will analyze changes, propose optimizations, support disciplines from software to safety, and help ensure interfaces compatibility. A master’s degree and 3+ years in complex system design, plus strong English (French a plus), are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering in relevant fields.
• 3+ years of experience in complex system design or engineering projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a highly technical environment.
• Knowledge of requirements management and traceability.
• IT proficiency: real-time software on target systems (Linux, Windows).
• English at least B2; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and allocate requirements to subsystems with system, architecture, and software teams.
• Analyze the impact of changes on existing systems and propose optimizations.
• Contribute to pre-integration strategies and ensure compatibility of interfaces across subsystems.
• Support project disciplines (software, V&V, safety, certification) and assist in resolving technical issues.
