ALTEN Belgium seeks a Systems Integrations Engineer to join client projects in Liège, coordinating and validating subsystem integration and IVVQ efforts for real-world performance. You will support ballistic-prediction algorithms on end-user platforms and interact with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering (Systems, Aerospace, Mechanical, Control Engineering or related).
• Hands-on experience in systems integration, verification, validation, testing or qualification of complex physical products.
• Proficiency with MATLAB and Simulink; knowledge of C, C++, or Python is a plus.
• Familiarity with IVVQ processes, Systems Engineering, test data analysis, and Agile environments.

As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Systems Integrations Engineer to join our teams and work on client projects located in Liège. You will join our client’s engaging project, focused on coordinating and validating subsystem integration on customer platforms, support IVVQ, and run the field side.

As a Systems Integrations Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:

• Coordinate and validate subsystem integration on customer platforms, ensuring system compliance and performance through deployment and operational phases
• Support integration, verification, validation and qualification (IVVQ) efforts, focused on system performance and reliability
• Support customer integration of ballistic-prediction algorithms on end-user platforms, including targeted optimisation such as execution time, with regular technical exchanges
• Accompany customers throughout firing campaigns: oversee data collection and analysis, and iteratively tune to validate performance targets and accuracy in real-world conditions
• Process flight and firing test data, and feed the results back into the models and the digital twin
• Support integration of algorithms into hardware using code generation and the Hardware-in-the-loop test rig
• Interact with Bid & Project teams to prepare technical offers and answer customer requests
• Interact with Operations and Quality teams to optimise calibration procedures and treat acceptance-test deviations

Your profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering (Systems, Aerospace, Mechanical, Control Engineering or a related discipline). A first experience in defence, aerospace, space, or other high-tech industrial environments is considered an asset.
• Hands-on experience in systems integration, verification, validation, testing, or qualification activities on complex physical products, with a strong interest in field operations and real-world system performance.
• Good proficiency with MATLAB and Simulink for modelling, test support, data analysis, and system integration activities. Knowledge of C, C++, or Python is a plus.
• Familiarity with Systems Engineering, IVVQ processes, test data analysis, and Agile development environments. Exposure to Model-Based Design methods is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary and international teams and interact directly with customers when required.
• Autonomous, organised, and project-oriented mindset, capable of managing multiple activities in parallel, adapting to field-test environments, and demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, curious, and team-oriented personality, with a willingness to learn, take ownership, and contribute to the successful delivery of complex engineering projects.
