Atlas Copco Group in Belgium seeks a technology engineer with a mechanical engineering focus to help develop oil-free screw compressors from concept to production. You will engage in simulations, calculations, and modelling of components, identify knowledge gaps, and validate concepts with tests.

As part of the oil-free screw product development team, you will contribute to continuous improvements, participate in design reviews, and collaborate with internal departments and external partners to

Qualifications

• Master or PhD in Engineering Science or MSc required.
• Matlab or Python knowledge preferred.
• Able to interpret FEA/CFD results; numerical simulations a plus.
• Broad knowledge of mechanical engineering; oil-free screw compressors experience not required.
• Experience as part of a project team or leader in development projects a plus.
• Strong communication in English; basic Dutch is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Drive product development from prototype to serial production.
• Perform simulations, calculations and modeling of components and subsystems.
• Translate specifications into design parameters and validate concepts.
• Support digital twin development and optimization of calculation tools.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners and research institutes.
