Axis Group is seeking a Senior Technical Expert for Workers' Compensation in Belgium. You will monitor and develop a WC portfolio, drive sustainable growth and profitability, and collaborate with underwriting, pricing, actuarial and claims teams to refine policies and portfolio performance.

You will translate data into actionable insights, contribute to technical guidelines, and influence strategic decisions while navigating market and regulatory changes in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent through experience.
• Several years of Workers' Compensation experience in underwriting, portfolio management, product management or as a technical expert.
• Strong affinity with technical insurance topics and portfolio profitability.
• Comfortable analysing data, interpreting trends and translating figures into actionable recommendations.
• Able to communicate effectively with different stakeholders and build credibility through expertise.
• Experience on projects, business improvements or transformation initiatives is a plus.
• Good command of Excel and interest in reporting, analytics and emerging technologies.
• Professional proficiency in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and further develop a Workers' Compensation portfolio to ensure sustainable growth and profitability.
• Collaborate with underwriting, pricing, actuarial and claims teams to improve policies and portfolio performance.
• Analyse portfolio performance, identify trends and opportunities, and translate findings into concrete recommendations for the business.
• Contribute to underwriting policies and technical guidelines; support decision-making on complex risks.
• Participate in initiatives to improve products, processes and portfolio performance; evaluate market developments and regulatory changes.
