Job summary

Yuno is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to set the reliability direction for its AI-agent platform running on AWS, with global payments across 190+ countries. You will own reliability strategy, architecture, observability, and incident leadership at scale.

This remote, international role targets a senior voice across engineering, driving event‑driven messaging, SLOs, and resilience through IaC with Terraform and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Event-driven architecture and messaging systems – designed and owned systems around message queues (Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ) and understand at‑least‑once delivery.
• Deep AWS – EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, and RDS – with strong networking fundamentals
• Infrastructure as Code – Terraform or Pulumi
• Kubernetes and Docker in production – container lifecycle, resource limits, health checks
• Observability and SLOs – Datadog dashboards, monitors, tracing, and SLO/SLI management
• Chaos engineering and resilience testing – fault injection, game days, chaos experiments
• Distributed systems debugging – diagnose async flows and fixes in production
• Databases – solid SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis)
• Proven technical leadership – set reliability standards and mentor engineers
• English – advanced proficiency, written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Define reliability strategy and incident practices across teams.
• Drive platform architecture and tech decisions as it matures.
• Design messaging layer for inter-service communication.
• Own cloud infrastructure and automate provisioning with IaC.
• Build observability with dashboards, tracing, and alerts.
• Lead incidents and mentor engineers for permanent fixes.
• Promote chaos engineering and resilience patterns across the org.
