Job summary

Doghouse Recruitment is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to own reliability for a bare metal Linux/Kubernetes environment across Europe. The role emphasizes reducing incidents, defining SLIs/SLOs, and shipping safe, observable changes in a high-performance infra stack.

The ideal candidate has deep Linux performance and networking expertise, strong Python/Go coding skills, Terraform/Docker/Helm experience, and on-call readiness. Remote EU with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Extensive production engineering in bare metal or data centre environments.
• Hands-on Linux performance, debugging and kernel behavior.
• Solid networking knowledge (DNS/TCP/TLS, latency, loss).
• Experience with Terraform, Docker, Helm and modern CI/CD.
• Strong coding skills in Python and/or Go beyond automation.
• Experience in low latency environments.

Responsibilities

• Own production reliability end-to-end including SLIs/SLOs.
• Lead error budget conversations and drive incident reduction.
• Build automation to reduce toil and improve deploy safety.
• Improve observability and long-term system latency.
• Work close to the metal across Kubernetes internals and Linux performance.
