Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Palantir Foundry engineer to scope, design and deploy data pipelines and operator-facing apps for defence and security customers. You will own end-to-end delivery, from whiteboard to secure on-prem deployment, and travel across Europe as required.

Candidates should have a strong CS/engineering background and hands-on Foundry experience, plus Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift and Linux fundamentals. NATO clearance or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Must have strong engineering background in CS/soft dev/maths/physics or similar.
• Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience with pipelines, ontology, Compute Modules, Workbooks and app development.
• Fluent in Python, Java, SQL, TS, JS, Bash or Go.

Engage with defence and security users to understand situational-awareness and force-protection needs
Scope technical solutions for operational requirements
Design, build, and deploy Palantir Foundry data pipelines, ontology models, and operator-facing applications
Integrate live intelligence with existing workflows, common operating pictures, and command-and-control tools
Build and tune custom widgets
Own solutions end to end from initial whiteboard design through operational deployment
Debug infrastructure, networking, and application issues in restricted, disconnected, or on-premise environments
Advise customer engineers and operators and feed their feedback into the product
Travel to European customer sites and operations centres approximately 25%–75% of the time

Requirements

• Strong engineering background in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, physics, or an equally technical field
• Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience with pipelines, ontology, Compute Modules, Code Repositories, Workbooks, and application development
• Fluency in at least one of Python, Java, SQL, TypeScript, JavaScript, Bash, or Go
• Three years or more of professional software or forward-deployed / solutions engineering experience shipping systems into production
• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar platform architectures and data models
• Experience with Docker or Podman containers and Kubernetes or OpenShift orchestration
• Solid Linux, networking, and on-premise fundamentals
• Active NATO clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain one
• Willingness to travel and work on site in secure customer facilities
• Right to work in the EU, or UK-based eligibility
• Nice to have: experience with classified, air-gapped, or disconnected environments; defence, intelligence, national-security, or emergency-management work; Esri or ArcGIS; command-and-control systems; front-end frameworks; NATO or national defence accreditation and compliance; a second European language
